Military Academic Training

Every year, DCI welcomes around 20 trainees to the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan military schools (ESCC). They receive military academic training in French. On completion of the curriculum selected by the competent authorities (long cycle or short cycle, see below), trainees obtain a Bachelor of Arts or a Masters 2 in international relations, a head of section diploma and the title of Saint-Cyr alumnus.

Two cycles are proposed:

  • SHORT CYCLE: 5 years

– FLE: learning French (18 to 24 months)

Military, academic and human training at the ESCC (3years)

  • LONG CYCLE: 7 years

– FLE: learning French (18 to 24 months)

– Preparatory class training cycle (2 years)

Military, academic and human training at the ESCC (3 years)

To boost foreign trainees’ chances of success in these high-level studies, DCI provides global personalised support. This is a system designed to facilitate trainee integration and which includes:

  • a class leader;
  • individual support and booster classes ;
  • progress monitoring and personalised supervision (with weekly, monthly, quarterly reports).

Trainees also receive support from local military missions.
