After a first career as officer, Jean-Michel Palagos joined the “Contrôle Général des Armées” before taking over the position of Director of Studies at the Centre for Higher Armament Studies. In 1997, he joined the office of Alain Richard, minister of Defence, where he was responsible for the move to professional armed forces via accompanying measures. In May 2012, he joined the office of Jean-Yves le Drian as Deputy Director.
He was appointed Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Défense Conseil International (DCI) on 9th December 2013, giving a new impulse to the Group. In particular, he has inspired the “French Armed Forces Training” label which guarantees France partners a training with the same standard as the one enjoyed by French Armed Forces.
Jean-Michel Palagos holds a master’s degree in law of the Paris 2 University and is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris. He is “Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur” and “Officier de l’ordre national du mérite”.
