Paris, 23/05/2017 – On 23 and 24 May 2017, the International Centre for Military Diver Training (CIF-PM) of Défense Conseil International (DCI) in Saint-Mandrier is presenting its operational expertise and training courses in military diving, deep-sea interventions and mine warfare operations. The two-day Training Days event will illustrate the quality of both the training and the trainers, via dynamic and static workshops organised at the centre and at sea.
The workshops are led by instructors from the CIF-PM and eight of its partners closely involved in the event: Aqua Lung, ECA group, RTsys, Alseamar, TR Equipement, Iguana, Geo Mines and Subsea Tech.
Internationally recognised expertise from the French navy
Since 2003, more than 400 trainees from Kuwait, Qatar, Libya, Slovenia and Malaysia have been trained in military and professional diving and deep-sea interventions thanks to DCI’s expertise in military know-how transfer as a Defence Ministry operator.
DCI’s trainers derive their internationally recognised know-how directly from the French navy. Their skills enable basic and advanced training to be provided in France and elsewhere, in subaquatic and/or operational use of military and professional diving equipment, in France’s areas of military expertise.
Complete, innovative, top-level training
The CIF-PM is located across the water from Toulon, on the peninsula of Saint-Mandrier. The centre offers a vast, safe maritime area for all diving activities with supervision by professional instructors.
To provide operational training and attain high-level skills, numerous training activities are available, including diving down to 80 metres, land and sea-based interventions to counter conventional or improvised explosive devices, and use of specific equipment such as UAS, compression chambers, subsea work tools and sonar, etc.
DCI is the reference operator of the French Ministry of Defence, offering services that are certified “French Forces Training”. DCI’s mission is to transfer French military know-how to the armed forces of nations friendly with France. For 45 years, it has been present across all the aspects of defence and national security services, offering Consulting, Training and Technical Assistance.
