Paris, December 1st, 2011- Hélidax, the first public-private partnership launched by the French Ministry of Defense in January 2008, recently obtained its ISO 9001: 2008 certification. The ISO 9001 certificate was issued to the company on 20 November 2011 by the French national organization for standardization (AFNOR). This rewards Hélidax's constant efforts concerning the maintenance and availability of helicopters for the Army's light aviation school (EA-ALAT) in Dax.
The AFNOR certification certifies that the management system implemented by Hélidax has been assessed and considered compliant with ISO 9001: 2008 standard requirements. This standard specifies a series of standardized requirements for a quality management system.
«The purpose of ISO 9001: 2008 is to guarantee an organization's efficiency. Obtaining ISO certification thus allows Hélidax to stand out by enhancing all its activities,» declares Jean-Louis Rotrubin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DCI and Helidax. «We must remember that 32 EC-120 Colibri are available daily and fly slightly over 550 hours per year, which involves ensuring quality maintenance and the safety of aircraft made available.»
