COFRAS
COFRAS, An
access to French military know-how of land forces and the Gendarmerie.
Within DCI, the COFRAS department is in charge of
transferring the French military know-how of:
- the French Army, and notably that of the French
army light aircraft corps (ALAT);
- the French Gendarmerie;
- French Defense Medical Services.
DCI is a key player on the French market as services provider. Supported
by experience drawn from the many engagements made by French land and
Gendarmerie forces (Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Lebanon, Chad, etc.),
COFRAS provides top quality training and assistance services, that bear the
French Army or French Gendarmerie label.
Thus it provides:
- the military with a guarantee of high-quality operational service that notably
contributes to the transformation of a weapon system into a «defence
capability»;
- defence industrialists with accelerated operational appropriation and assistance essential for the
use of their systems, as well as the optimum level of final user
satisfaction;
- national leaders with the guarantee of perfect usage for new acquisition.
COFRAS includes 5 divisions:
- Academic training. To prepare men for
engagement;
- Land forces. To adapt the combatant to
new asymmetrical situations;
- Air land. To optimize the role of
helicopters in land combat;
- Internal security. To face new
security threats (security-defense continuum);
- Outsourcing. To provide French forces
with global and optimized service solutions.
